How to Use ParanoidAndroid Settings/Hybrid Properties! [ParanoidAndroid ROM]

Galaxy S4 S Translator Demo and How to Install On Rooted Galaxy S3/Galaxy Note 2!

For those of you who can’t wait for Galaxy S4, you can already get some Galaxy S4 features like the S Translator app on your rooted Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2.

Galaxy S4 S Translator app indeed works pretty well, allows users to translate languages in real-time while traveling.  I can see myself using it if I do travel to countries that the app supports to get around.

S Translator app currently supports 10 languages:  Chinese, UK English, US English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

So, what’s different from Google’s own Google Translator app?

The S Translator app is more geared towards using it in real life as it will translate two languages back and forth, with ability to translate spoken language and also ability to speak translated language.

UPDATE: Oops, sorry I feel like an idiot, you can do similar on Google Translator too.

The S Translator interface is certainly a lot better than Google Translator app, allowing you to actually use it in real life, very easy to translate two languages in real-time.

Below is Google Translate app, which works well also but you cannot translate two languages simultaneously, you have to go through the tedious process of switching the language tabs at the top, not really good for real-life situations.

How to install S Translator app on rooted Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2!

Before we begin, you will need a rooted Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2 Android smartphone running TouchWiz-based ROMs (no AOSP!).  Also I do recommend Android 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2.1, or higher.

I also assume you have some type of custom recovery as CWM or TWRP.

Step 1. Download Galaxy S4 Translator zip file:

Download GalaxyS4STranslator_v1.0.zip

Step 2. Reboot into recovery and install the zip file.

Step 3. Try opening S Translator app, it will probably ask you to sign into your Samsung account.  Go ahead and sign in or sign up for an account if you don’t have one already.

Step 4. Enjoy your S Translator app!

Note:

– History feature may be broken on the app if you are not on Android 4.2.1 or higher, but translation feature should work 100% fine.

– Please do make a backup ROM just in case something breaks!  We are not responsible for data lost because you did not make a backup ROM before trying this.

Credits – XDA user Titoo7 posted the file first, I only modified to add Samsung apps which might be missing on some custom ROMs. Please donate to him if you like this!
